Motivation isn’t the problem

You probably don’t need another tutorial.

You need someone who can dig into your project, ask the right questions and help you decide what to do next.

01

Your code feels out of control

Every new feature breaks something else, and you’re starting to avoid changing parts of your code.

02

A blocker won’t budge

A bug, architecture, input, gameplay or networking issue: you’ve tried several approaches and still can’t move forward.

03

You don’t know what to finish next

The list keeps growing, the scope keeps shifting, and nothing feels like the clear next priority.

The Unity Unblock Day

Six hours focused on your game.

The day is prepared around your own project and a realistic goal, with guidance tailored to what you need.

  1. Before

I get to know your project

Send me an overview, a video or a build, along with your main blocker. I check whether a day together can genuinely help.

  2. Morning

    We diagnose before we code

We clarify the problem, its impact and an achievable outcome. Then we choose the most useful approach together.

  3. Afternoon

We work directly in your project

Through screen sharing, explanations and pair programming, you take part in the decisions and understand every change.

  4. After

You can keep going on your own

We put your next steps in order and have a short follow-up one week later.

A real project, supported

A clearer codebase that’s easier to test and maintain.

A Unity multiplayer project for VR

Restructuring the player code and diagnosing networking issues

The prototype already worked, but its player controller handled too many responsibilities and several issues made multiplayer testing difficult.

  • Refactoring
  • Input System
  • Camera & player
  • Network diagnostics
  • Solo testing mode

The result: a clearer project structure, leaner files, better organised inputs and code that’s easier to work with.

The project structure is much better, much nicer to work with. I was worried the files would be too long, but they’ve been considerably slimmed down. The input handling is much cleaner this way.

Behind the bear

I’m Laura, a Unity/C# developer and teacher.

I created Ours Agile to help people making games understand their work, make sound technical decisions and bring their ideas to life.

I’ve supported projects remotely, worked on a multiplayer VR prototype and taught game development at MyDigitalSchool. My approach is built on listening, adapting and bringing the right skills to the problem.

I speak fluent English and French and welcome projects from both language communities, wherever you’re based.

Ours Agile is also a founding member of the Association du Jeu Vidéo Angevin, a game development association in Angers, France.

Keeping a place accessible

One free coaching day every month.

I set aside one day of coaching each month for someone on a very low income, with supporting evidence. The same preparation, care and quality of support.

Useful questions

Before you share your project

Can we work in English if I’m outside France?

Yes. I speak fluent English and offer remote coaching in English or French. Include your time zone and availability when you share your project, and we’ll agree on a suitable time.

Is this day right for my experience level?

It’s designed for adults who can already open and work in a Unity project, including those who are self-taught. If you’re starting from scratch, the group workshop will be a better fit.

Can we really get a project unstuck in one day?

We won’t finish an entire game. The preparation helps us choose a specific, achievable goal that gets your project moving again. If I don’t think I can help, I’ll tell you before you book.

Will you code the project for me?

We work together so you understand the decisions and can continue independently. I may write or restructure code during the session, and I’ll explain what I’m doing as we go.

How does remote coaching work?

We work on Discord using screen sharing. You’ll need a Git repository or a complete backup of your project before we make any changes.

Your project deserves more than an abandoned folder

Show me where you’re stuck.

Tell me about your project and your main challenge. I’ll give you an honest view of what a day together could achieve.
